The very first day in ESL.
Today is my first day of ESL classes, it also means the first day for me to become a student again after working such long turn.
ESL is the English of Second Language Department.
Don't ask me why, I am also confused about how it comes, I was just located on the Level 3.
But anyway, I gonna reporting my first day in ESL.
According to my schedule, the first class to me in America was going to be hold at 8:00 am in the morning, a really cold morning.
Within the frist gleam of daytime, I drove my bicycle to ESL institute.
Actually I was pretty sure that I have read the map and line, but somehow I still got a bit lost in this morning.
It almost caused me an absence on first class.
Don't worry,I caught it up on time!
The title of my first class is "Being a professional" taught by a Korea instructor, Professor Kim.
He said that he was pointed to guide us to act like a professional, especially when looking for a new job or entering to a workgroup in your career, and of course, that will be the things of future. After a brief introdution between each student, we were required to have writing test to state our own opinion about "financial success or self satisfation, which one will affect you most while you decide your major?"
Now I am going to introduce my second class "the language of Art and Design" taught by Professor Ellan.
Seriously speaking, this is the education what I thought in America.
Of course, we started from the introduction of each other, but we also got to paint a pencil drawing of a face, a fast sketch, to express how your partner look like in your eyes.
I think this is a really interesting introduction than I ever met.
In my view, it really didn't matter about how good you could paint, it supposed to offer an opportunity to short the distence between all of us. It was very useful, we became friends soon through the laugh and eye contacting.
Then we went straight to the official contain of this class.
We started to discuss about "What is Art?", "What is art made of?", "What is Art about?".
She showed us lots examples of artist, lots articles of artists, lots of new things and materials I never met.
The class ended in a very nice mood, I also got two nice friends in this class, Butd from Thailand, Fabian from Mexico.
When I left ESL, it rained again!
I was frozen and uncomfortable while driving a bike through cood wind and heavy rain.
I gonna grabing my driving license and my car next week as possible as I can.
I cannot stand a sustained biking for 1 hr in a 30~35-fehrenheit-degree morning, especially with a bloody rain!!
